Austin Montbriand
Austin Montbriand is an Associate Attorney at Zanck, Coen, Wright & Saladin, P.C., where he focuses on supporting the firm in various matters, including civil litigation, probate law, traffic law, property tax appeals, and business law matters. He is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Wisconsin.
Austin earned his law degree in 2024 from Marquette University Law School, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Marquette Sports Law Review. During law school, he won the Internal Sports Negotiation Competition in his 2L year and later led the competition as an organizer in his 3L year. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with high honors with a degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism. In his time at Illinois, he was a Student Manager for the Fighting Illini football team.
Before entering private practice, Austin gained hands-on experience in the sports industry through internships with William Morris Endeavor and Priority Sports & Entertainment, where he worked on contract negotiations and athlete representation.
He is a member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group.
Outside of work, Austin is a passionate sports fan and follows the Chicago Bears and Illinois Fighting Illini closely.
